Dear Readers, Welcome! 'A Different Quill' is my canvas for writing and photography. I started writing to express unspoken thoughts. The more I learn about the world, the more I am hard pressed to find rhyme or reason in life .. in this complex tapestry some threads never weave the way we want, some threads merge right in and some .. will always stand out. Sometimes happy, sometimes sad, sometimes confused .. and sometimes just plain mad! Once begun, the threads knot themselves off their own accord. For as long as you wish to stay, my art is honor-bound to you. No matter what shade you are looking for, I hope you can find something that suits you. All I ask is that you give yourselves a pause and take the time to read. My job is to hold your attention for as long as the piece stretches. If I have stumbled upon truth .. Well, thats just lucky!! Once again Welcome!!! - Sanket For all feedback and inquiries email : sanket.korgaonkar@gmail.com

Hey, do you have a snap which is taken from about 3 steps to the right of the position that this snap was taken from. I am not a professional, but I think that this would be a better snap. I just wanted to compare and see.

I had not planned on this photo - which is why it isnt composed right - it was a self snap on auto shoot - I have cropped the image so that u cant see me.

ok... but what do u think of what i said... i love to think about the pros and cons of each and every snap that comes across me.. hence, i just wanted to know if you had any with the best angle (atleast in my perspective)...

one more thing... i gave the link to ur blog to a friend and she suggested quite a lot of use of photoshop... but i dont think that u have used any.. i think that the main tool that u have used is ur camera and a set of filters... am i right? kept this as a separate comment as this has nothing to do with the current snap... nor the blog as such... do let me know by replying either on my blog or on ur own..

You are right in that the angle you suggest would have been better - but there wasnt an appropriate location for the camera - I took this snap on auto shoot.
And yes - I use filters and some color adjustment - but thats all - I havent used photoshop.

I do not mean to critize the work that you have done, but I just love to find out better ways in which anything can be done and hence my inquisitiveness. You must have guessed that due to this, I am into a profession which needs me to continuously improve upon anything that comes in front of me.
Also, I am glad to hear that you did not photoshop anything. I like the way this world looks naturally too much to mess around with it.

You guys have to be kidding. This is a lovely photo as is. Hard to believe it's Second Dam (I lived in Logan a few years). The green is beautiful and the bridge alongside is inviting. It leads the eye smoothly into the picture, makes you curious to see what's beyond.
Vamsee.
